San Jose Chamber of Commerce City Study Mission

Each year, the Chamber leads a select group of business, community, and civic leaders on a study mission to explore innovative approaches to urban and economic development. Together, we learn about the public policy solutions, public-private partnerships, and economic strategies that have defined the growth of another city or region.

2026 STUDY MISSION: TAMPA, FLORIDA

Tampa

This year, we travel to Tampa Bay to examine how a region has leveraged sports, entertainment, and waterfront development to transform its downtown and strengthen its economy. Through projects like Water Street Tampa and the Tampa Riverwalk, participants will gain insight into coordinated public-private investment, district activation, and tourism strategy.

Designed for leaders shaping San Jose’s future, this experience offers practical takeaways and meaningful peer connections.

This program is held exclusively for our Impact Investors, elected officials, City and County leaders, members of the Board of Directors and committee chairs.
