Play Ball!
Over Labor Day weekend, ten little league teams, representing each San Jose City Council District, will square off in a double-elimination tournament to determine the winner of the first San Jose World Series. The event, which is free and open to the public, is being presented by the San Jose Chamber of Commerce Foundation and presented by Chevron, and all proceeds will go to benefit community-based organizations. Throughout the weekend, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the diversity and vibrancy that makes each San Jose neighborhood great, get autographs signed by local baseball heroes, mix and mingle with San Jose elected officials who will be on hand for first pitches, and of course, enjoy the baseball games.
The San Jose World Series Championship game will be played on Monday, September 5, at 1:00 PM, and is presented by Safeway.
We hope you can join the San Jose Chamber Foundation, and our partners at SJ Made, for the inaugural San Jose World Series in September.
