People always ask me why I live and work downtown San Jose. It’s simple.

I love downtown, its diverse community and the hundreds of things to do on any given day.

That’s why I joined the San Jose Downtown Association as Director of MarCom and Events.

The first time I stepped foot into downtown San Jose, I knew this is where I was going to find my place and make my mark.

Almost 15 years later, there are new ways I fall in love with San Jose over and over again.

Don’t just take it from me, our Board of Directors recently shared their favorite things to do downtown.

Here is the top three:

Walking to Cafes & Bars

Downtown San Jose has seen a plethora of coffee shops open including Chromatic CoffeeProper Cup and Academic Coffee plus our tried-and-true happy-hour spots. Strolling to cafes and bars in our extremely walkable downtown was rated the top thing to do. What better way to fall in love with downtown San Jose than to invite a friend to come with you!

Hotel De Anza - The Hedley Club

A true Downtown Gem, Hotel De Anza was once the tallest hotel in central San Jose. The Hedley Club features some of the best live jazz from local artists and features Prohibition-style cocktails plus trendy new libations. Enter the Hotel De Anza and be prepared for an experience unlike any other in San Jose.

Events, Events, Events

Downtown San Jose is known for its annual signature events including Downtown Ice, Music in the Park and Farmers‚Äô Market. No matter the season, there is a fun event to experience.

Check out what’s happening this month.
