Public Policy Advisory

Meets 3-4:30 p.m., third Monday
The Public Policy Advisory Committee is charged with providing oversight, policy direction and information exchange for the chamber committees, chamber board, ChamberPAC Trustees and general members.

Development Review & Regional Infrastructure
Chair: Gerry De Young, Ruth & Going, Inc.
Staff: Jim Reed, Derrick Seaver
Meets 3:30-5 p.m., second Thursday
The Development Review & Regional Infrastructure Committee is charged with making policy recommendations to the chamber’s board of directors on (1) Regional municipal infrastructure programs ( 2) land use entitlement policy  and (3) local and regional development proposals that facilitate local and/or regional economic development opportunity

Education & Workforce Development
Chair: Irene Chavez, Kaiser Permanente
Staff: Jim Reed, Derrick Seaver
Meets 8-9:30 a.m., first Monday
The Education Committee is charged with making recommendations to the Chamber’s Board of Directors on educational policy, legislation and programs for the PreK– 16 grade levels to facilitate an educated workforce for all industry sectors throughout the Silicon Valley region.

Health Care & Wellness
Chair: Jo Coffaro, Hospital Council of Northern and Central California
Staff: Derrick Seaver, Jim Reed
Meets 2:30-3:30 p.m., first Wednesday of every other month
The Health Committee is charged with making recommendations to the Chamber’s Board of Directors on health care legislation and policies that will foster responsible, cost effective health care policy for businesses, employees and the healthcare industry.
