Shop Local

The San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to offer an official Shop Local/Member to Member discount program. This program is FREE for members of the Chamber to participate in.

Click here to see a list of participating businesses.

Reasons why you should Shop Local

  • Local stores are more likely to carry locally produced products which supports local agriculture.
  • Local business owners contribute to more local fundraising and charities.
  • Local businesses provide a majority of jobs.
  • Local businesses support other local businesses.
  • Chamber Members receive special discounts from participating businesses.
  • The sales tax paid support this community and county: fixing roads and maintaining recreational facilities.
  • Shopping local reduces your carbon footprint.
  • Local business owners invest in the community and have a vested interest in the future of this community.

Each member of the Chamber has an opportunity to provide a discount to other Chamber members. This discount can be a percentage off a purchase, a free consultation, gift with purchase, or other offering. As a member, you decide what your offer will be. Keep in mind you want something that will bring customers and clients to you. Offerings can be changed on a quarterly basis.

All Chamber members will receive a discount card (soon after they join the Chamber and upon renewal of membership) that will include their company name and an expiration date. This card, when presented at member businesses, will be good to receive the discount being offered.

To become a sponsor, provide a discount, or if you have questions about the program, contact Chamber Vice President, Membership & Marketing, Jason Minsky at 408-291-5281 or by email at jasonm@sjchamber.com.
