Each August, Silicon Valley political and business leaders come together at the annual COMPAC Barbecue to support the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce political action committee - or COMPAC.

Legends & Leaders
This signature dinner attracts more than 800+ of the Valley's key leaders to the Fairmont each fall to meet legends like Margaret Thatcher, Colin Powell, Walter Cronkite, Barbara Bush, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bob Dole as well as to honor community and education heroes.

Business After Business Mixer
The Chamber offers opportunities for businesses to market and grow their businesses within our network. We provide high-level networking opportunities throughout the year, including two "mega mixers" - the Schmooze Fiesta and Octoberfest. Check the events calendar for upcoming mixers.

Women in Leadership
With the focus on emerging female leaders, the Chamber Women in Leadership Committee hosts a spring fundraiser for leadership grants, featuring prominent speakers with strong messages for business women. Through a grant program, the Chamber also recognizes emerging female leaders in the community.

Access Sacramento
The annual Sacramento advocacy day draws roughly 100 participants. Our members travel to Sacramento to lobby on critical California business climate issues like transportation, workers compensation, redevelopment and education.

Access Washington, D.C.
A three-day lobbying trip to the nation's capitol focused on critical Silicon Valley issues. Chamber members participating in this program help to shape the political landscape. This is where decisions on taxation, infrastructure, trade, national defense, healthcare, and a huge array of other issues are made.

Access City Hall
This program is designed to broaden the contact between business leaders and City officials. Meeting with the Mayor, Council, City Manager and Redevelopment Direcor allows officials to hear about issues affecting Silicon Valley businesses.

An annual visit by key San Jose business and community leaders to another of North America's great cities to share best practices and bring back ideas to make San Jose an even better place to live and work.
